•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: It's a bit of a stretch to say people could specifically reference XI, but I am totally fine with people recognizing him as TOS Bones. Definitely feel free to recognize him as a different Karl Urban role, or ask why isn't he DeForest Kelley.
•BACKTAGGING: Definitely! I also tend to get a little distracted/misplace threads, so if there's ever something I've stopped tagging, just nudge me if you want to continue.
•AVOIDED TOPICS: I'm pretty uncomfortable when it comes to vampires drinking people's blood, and I'm generally uncomfortable being brought into plots involving sexual assault. If there's a specific reason why you need me/my character in it, just let me know well in advance so we can discuss it before I decide to get involved.

IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: McCoy is about 6'1", with dark brown hair, hazel eyes and basically looks like this. He pretty much always wears his uniform around the Barge (blue science division jersey, black undershirt, dark pants and boots), and almost never is in civilian clothes unless the Barge is in port, and even then sometimes he just wears his uniform off the ship. Casual clothes are generally pretty boring button down shirts with jeans or kahkis. This is what he sounds like, and he does tend to sound pissed off even if he isn't, actually. He probably smells like a hospital most of the time because of the amount of time he spends in the infirmary, but when not doing that, just a typical laundry detergent/shampoo/deodorant hybrid.
•DEMEANOR: Bones generally sounds like he's in a bad mood or is at least grumpy and sarcastic, but there isn't a lot of bite behind his bark most of the time, and it should be pretty apparent to people that this is the case. He just isn't good at putting up with bullshit and isn't shy about making this fact known. He definitely can tone it down, but it's really a matter of people just knowing he comes off as kind of an asshole and putting up with him anyway, generally because he's a doctor and they need his help with something. He takes his job really seriously, and he gets exasperated with people when they decide to be assholes about it.
•ABILITIES: Although he has no supernatural abilities (being one hundred percent, boring human, from Earth, and that’s the way he likes it), Leonard McCoy has been practicing medicine for a long time and as such, there isn’t a whole lot in the medical world he hasn’t seen or at least read about. He graduated at the top of his class at Starfleet Academy in anatomical and forensic pathology, and is an accomplished surgeon, physician, psychologist and exobiologist. He also received training at Starfleet Academy to ensure his survival on any away missions or during catastrophes, and as such knows how to defend himself and operate most standard issue weaponry, specifically, a phaser. He’s not a great hand to hand combatant, but he’s not going to go down without a fight.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Normal, healthy adult human male.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Apart from being really defensive of Jim, I can't think of anything. His only other huge trigger for rage is something he doesn't talk about with anyone so. :V Also, he doesn't like other people calling him Bones, and will quasi politely correct your character if they refer to him that way.
